Javier Medina

I am finally taking the leap, and pursuing my passion in landscape photography full-time. When I was 13, I picked up my dad's old 35mm Ricoh camera and in that instant, I was hooked!

I went to art school for photography in my early years, but I have been more self-taught lately. As you know, you can never stop learning, and my style has evolved ever since. But I'm glad I did start with art school first, as it taught me the fundamentals of photography which grounds me today. After art school, I have been lucky to experience many great jobs, and have even had the opportunity to build my own company with the help of my partner. After these ventures, however, I asked myself - what do I want to do for the rest of my life?

Recently, I decided to pursue photography full-time to see where it leads me. I am lucky to live in one of the most beautiful places on earth, New Zealand. So there is no better time than now to start this new chapter in my life. I have started a YouTube channel to record my adventures as I travel throughout New Zealand, and hopefully the world! I hope you can join me in my exploration of this great planet we live on, and to inspire you to get out and explore more of your own surroundings.

Cheers,

Javier Medina
